The Sum is Greater than the Parts: Doubling Shared Prosperity in Indonesia through Local and Global Integration
The Indonesian government has a target for this country to join the list of upper middle income countries by 2025. If Indonesia can increase annual real GDP per capita by 8.5 percent over the next ten years, this goal can be realized. But based on current projections, that will not be achievable. There are three things that hinder it: unemployment, decreasing competitiveness, and increasing inequality.
